Lacrosse action during the 2025 USSSA Ball Games 2 in Tororo

Tuesday, 15th July 2025 will be a day off as the players’ bodies get full recovery before resumption on the following day.

The Lacrosse sport matches at the 2025 Uganda Secondary School Sports Association (USSSA) Ball Games 2 started on Sunday, 13th July in Tororo.

The games have continued on Monday with a number of games at Tororo Parents school playground.

Lacrosse action

Girls:

Giants Nabisunsa Girls School and Bombo Army Secondary School have won two matches so far for the girls.

Nabisunsa Girls School triumphed over Kigezi High School and Mt. St Mary’s College Namagunga 16-0 and 14-04 respectively.

Bombo Army SS humbled Muzza High School 14-03 before humiliating Kigezi High School 12-01.

The other game witnessed a 11-03 win for Muzza High SchoolagainstKigezi High School.

Boys:

For the boys, hosts St Peter’s College Tororo commenced the championship on a false footing; falling in their first matches.

First, the hosts lost 11-13 to Empower International Academy and also fell 07-10 to Kigezi High School.

In the other match; Bombo Army Secondary School was ruthless during the 11-01 demolition of Kigezi High School.

It is so far so good. We have witnessed some competitive action. The future of Lacrosse sport is promising. With two match days done and dusted, we have a rest day on Tuesday before resuming on Wednesday. May the best team win.

Top Scorers:

The current top scorer for the boys is Jonathan Soita (St Peter’s College Tororo) with 7 goals so far.

He is closely followe by Bombo Army’s Warid Kabuzi (6 goals) and Owen Twinamsiko (5 goals).

For the girls, Nabisunsa’s Enid Alowo has 13 goals, one better than teammate Ladyshima Mulumba.

Sofia Aber (Bombo Army) has scored 10 goals so far.

Games’ bonaza:

Apart from Lacrosse, the USSSA Ball games 2 also have normal football (U-14 and U-16), Rugby 7’s, Basketball (3X3 and U-16 for 5X5), Athletics, Cross Country, Volleyball, Handball, Chess, Netball, Scrabble, DanceSport, Ludo, Beach Soccer, Futsal, woodball, Beach Volleyball, Cricket, Gymnastics as well as Baseball & Softball.

Cricket, Gymnastics, Baseball & Softball are the three demonstration games.

The USSSA Ball Games 2 are a precursor for the FEASSA Games due in Kakamega, Kenya come next month.
