URA players celebrate at Hamz stadium

Uganda Premier League side URA has confirmed the contract extension of pacy forward, Joseph Semujju.

The contract extension was confirmed via the club’s official website today, Monday, July 14, 2025. The extension will keep him at the club until 2027.

“URA FC is delighted to announce the pacy winger and forward Joseph Ssemujju has signed a contract extension that will keep him at the club until 2027,” the statement partly reads.

Ssemujju joined URA in January 2023 from Mbeya City’s Tanzanian side, but his performance as a Tax Collector has been inconsistent.

Having appeared in 52 matches, he has scored only seven goals and provided six assists, highlighting his inconsistency and need for improvement.

Speaking to the club’s media, Ssemujju is eager to pay the club for the trust and belief invested in him.

“I’m grateful for the trust and belief the club has shown in me. This extension means a lot and I’m committed to working even harder to help URA FC win silverware in the coming seasons,” he said.
