St Cyprian High School Kyabakadde’s boys basketball team (3X3) completed the group phase at the on-going 2025 USSSA Ball Games 2 in Tororo undefeated.
The Cyproz won their group B matches to finish top of the pool with maximum points.
They defeated Ndejje SS 13-08, Kira College Butiki (12-07), Seroma Christian High School (7-5) and Busoga College Mwiri (11-03).
The squad of Manyal Chuol Lam, Israel Ngakia Kobo, Malcom Omondi, Ring Ichut Agok Iyiet and Makur Sijin Makeny is roaring to go as the knockout round looms on Wednesday at the Tororo Girls school courts.
“It has been so far so good. The group stages for the boys ended well with our unbeaten run. Now, focus turns immediately to the quarters as we target the semi-finals and final” Daudi Mwasa, the games’ teacher remarks.
St Cyprian High School Kyabakadde also has a girls’ team taking part in the same competition.
The four semi-finalists per gender will qualify to the 2025 FEASSA Games due in Kakamega city, Kenya.
3×3 Basketball aside, schools are also competing in the 5X5 U-16 basketball. The other games in Tororo include Futsal, Netball, Volleyball, Beach Volleyball, Beach Soccer, Woodball, Lacrosse, Baseball and Softball, Ludo, Scrabble and Chess.
