On Saturday, 19th July 2025, the GKS Alumni Association Uganda organized two impactful events in Kampala aimed at empowering Uganda’s future leaders and enhancing collaboration among Korea-linked stakeholders.

The morning session took place at Mulago Secondary School, while the afternoon event was held at Arirang Hotel Kampala.

These back-to-back events marked a milestone in the GKS Alumni Uganda Chapter’s mission—mentoring future leaders, expanding educational awareness, and uniting Korea-linked organizations for long-term collaboration.

We are humbled as the Embassy of Korea in Uganda for organizing these activities for empowering Uganda’s future leaders and enhancing collaboration among Korea-linked stakeholders.

Mr. Yi Seunghee, Korean Embassy Second Secretary

We welcome the GKS activities. The program could be a good momentum for changing the mindset of students who attended.

Moses Katende, Director of Studies at Mulago Secondary School

The first meeting with SMU and GKS Alumni is a good opportunity to build strong networks among all groups working with the Korean Embassy. I suggest such a union should be held every year.

Hebert, Chair of the Korea–Uganda Friendship Association (KUFA)

We welcome this activity. The participants from various groups are highly encouraged to become members of SMU Uganda.

Mr. Solomon, President of SMU Uganda
