Gazelles captain Jane Asinde has successfully completed a move to Azulmarino.
Azulmarino is basketball club that plays in the second tier of the Spanish second tier.
This ends the speculations that have been surrounding Asinde after confirming her departure from a top flight Spanish side, Ensino Lugo.
While at Azulmarino, Asinde is set to reunite with gaffer Alberto Antuna who was Gazelles’ head coach in the previous AfroBasket.
Antuna revealed that Asinde is a confident who can be utilised in different positions on the court.
“Jane (Asinde) is a complete player. She will bring physicality, energy and versatility,” the gaffer said.
“She can play both as a three and four. I’m very happy to work with her again after our experience with the Ugandan national team,” he added.
