Moses Basena has returned to SC Villa with a new role in the Villa coaching set up, the club has announced.

In a statement released by the 17-time league champions on Monday July 21, Basena who played for the club in the 90s and coached them alongside Mulitin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic in early 2000s as well as head coach in 2018/19 season is now the team’s Technical Director.

Former Villa midfielders Dan Mubiru alias Mujapan and Hakim ‘Lei’ Ssenkumba have also been appointed team manager and youth team coach respectively.

Villa’s ex-goalkeeper Sam Kawalya also returns to the club in the position of goalkeeping coach while Samuel Tusingwire is the performance analyst.

The club didn’t not reveal information about Geoffrey Bukohore, Peter Onen, Phillip Obwin and Peter Nsaba who have also been cited at the team’s training ground in Ntinda.

A few weeks ago, the club also named Serbian Kovacevic Zeljko as the new head coach after axing Morley Byekwaso.

Villa finished last season in 6th place failing to defend the title they had won a season earlier with Dusan Stojanovic.
