Paige Robinson

Gazelles are at their full complement at their training camp in Alexandria, Egypt, following the arrival of Paige Robinson.

The combo guard joined the rest of the teammates on Tuesday ahead of the tournament that starts this weekend.

Robinson will be making her debut in the premier African competition as a mainstay in the back court, and her scoring will be crucial for the side as it was during the qualifiers.

Veteran and center Claire Lamunu who is one of the leaders of the team is pleased with the transformation of the team, especially on the the back court.

“Ever since Rwanda, the team is definetly stronger especially from the guards perspective and that’s exciting,” vet Claire Lamunu who joined the camp over the weekend said of the look of the team.

“The preps are going really well. At the AfroBasket level the intangibles communication hustling fighting are things we have but I believe we have to do them for forty minutes straight,” she added.

The team is set to leave for Adidjan on Friday with the first game on Sunday against Guinea.
