Victoria University secured a well-deserved 85-44 victory against Livingstone in the National Basketball League encounter at Lugogo Indoor Arena.

Livingstone lost the 20th game in the 21 games played in the regular season, confirming their relegation from the top tier.

With one game remaining in the regular season, the Victoria Crocs have one task: to defeat the KIU Titans to secure a spot in the highly anticipated playoffs.

Isaac Athuai Akoal’s dunk concluded the opening period as the Livingstone opened a three-point (17-14) lead at the end of the period.

The two sides tied 14-14 in the second quarter, though Cedric Alema’s jumpshot concluded the period as they trailed by three (28-31) at halftime.

Coming from the locker room, the Crocs came out of the blocks to open an 11-point (49-38) lead going into the final quarter.

It was a one-way traffic in the final period, Livingstone was limited to only six points as the Victoria Crocs opened a 41-point victory.

Cedric Alema (14 points) and Chuol Nyuot (13 points) led the Crocs’ scoring chart in double digits.

On the other hand, Isaac Athuai Akoal was the only Livingstone player to reach double digits after dropping 13 points.
