NBL Fixtures | Friday, July 25

  • City Oilers vs. JKL Dolphins – 7pm
  • JT Jaguars vs. Sommet – 9pm

The 2025 National Basketball League playoffs are just around the corner and the fight for the slots is far from done.

Apart from the top spot that was sealed by Namuwongo Blazers, the rest of the positions are not set until the last game, with eight teams having realistic chances of getting into the postseason.

It’s a chaotic mess down the table and unlike the past decade, record champions City Oilers are involved in the fight for a place in the postseason. With an 11-10 record, the Oilers need a victory against JKL Dolphins on Friday.

The NBL Table as of July 24

The defending champions have always cruised through the season with relative ease, but this season, they have had to deal with a series of extended injury absences, particularly for Titus Lual.

Edgar Munaba, who was explosive in the defeat to the Nam Blazers last week, will lead the charge for the Oilers, along with Fayed Bbale and Maker.

Noel Ngambere, Kesseng Kesseng and Halon Alinaitwe as well as Elvis Mpeti could play party spoilers who, in some games, play extremely competitively.

The prime time Friday fixture will see Sommet battle JT Jaguars. The two teams are chasing second place in the table, and a win for either will improve their chances.
