Uganda Cranes captain Khalid Aucho has confirmed his departure from Tanzanian side Young Africans, also known as Yanga.
The holding midfielder confirmed the development through an official document shared via his social media platforms today, Wednesday, July 30, 2025.
“Young Africans SC, my beloved family, I want to say that the team has come to a close and unforgettable chapter of my life,” the statement partly reads.
Aucho has spent four seasons at the club, guiding them to four Tanzania League titles as well as a CAF Confederation Cup final in 2023.
According to Aucho, his stay at the club saw him experience intense emotions, achieve incredible goals and build lasting memories.
Aucho’s name is etched in history as an instrumental player who donned the green and yellow threads.
His future is not yet clear, but rumour has it that his signature is being sought by some continental giants.
