Every single weekend in August has two days of back-to-back rugby action. From 15s Tour Rugby to National and Regional rugby 7s, there is something for every rugby fan and player across the country.

The National Rugby 7s series begins this weekend (August 2-3) at Kyadondo Rugby Club with the Coronation 7s, followed by the Gulu 7s at Pece Stadium in Gulu City.

While the Rugby 7s go on a rest weekend, Rugby 15s take centre stage on the 16th of August at Kyadondo Rugby Club. The Irish Blackrock College shall start their tour of Uganda after 54 years with a game against the Uganda Allstars Rugby 15s. The Uganda team shall be captained by Michael Wokorach and coached by Kevin Makmot. In that very week, the Irish Blackrock shall carry out charitable activities and coaching clinics within eastern Uganda. The tour shall culminate in a legacy day for school-going children in the Kakira community, followed by fun rugby for the fans and players to interact.

Rugby 7s shall then resume with the Central Uganda Rugby 7s on August 17 to determine which two teams qualify for the National 7s core status qualifier.

On the weekend of August 23-24, Entebbe shall host the 3rd stop of the National 7s, followed by the Rujumba 7s at King’s Park Arena, Bweyogerere, hosted by the Black Pirates. These two stops shall mark the end of Rugby for August.
