Overview:
The KOSA League, a football event for Kibuli Secondary School alumni, is set to return in August 2025 with 16 teams and a focus on community outreach programs and innovation.
For the fifth season, the KOSA League, a football event that brings together alumni of Kibuli Secondary School, is set to return starting 10-August-2025 at the YES Center Sports Arena, Nsambya.
The 2025/26 edition comes with an expansion from 12 teams to 16 adding four more new teams.
Speaking at the launch of the new season, Hajji Ssekatawa Hassan Hood, President of the KOSA League, promised a thrilling season.

“Next season will be more thrilling and exciting, we plan to have more community outreach programs,” he said. “With each season, we grow and not only play for victory but also for the legacy we’re building together,” he added.
“The league is a testament to the strength of our community, a community that thrives on the passion and commitment of everyone involved.”
Noordin Ssembajjwe, the Head of Competitions, highlighted the league’s commitment to innovation: “We’re constantly looking for ways to enhance the experience for our players and fans and the upcoming season marks a pivotal moment in the evolution of the KOSA League.
“We’re not just organizing games; we’re crafting an experience; it’s about creating a space where memories are relived and new ones are forged.”
Awarded as the best schools’ Alumni league by the Local Football Awards, The Kibuli Old Students Association (KOSA) League is a unique football competition that brings together alumni of Kibuli Secondary School.
With teams representing specific clusters of years spent at Kibuli, the league fosters a strong sense of community and nostalgia, making it a cherished event for both participants and spectators.
Last season saw Twaake FC (KOSA 2019) emerge victorious, clinching the league title with an unbeaten record and won the championship with two matches to play.
Other winners of the competition are Sasi (KOSA 2010) in 2022 and Legends (KOSA 2004) in 2023 and Showtymers FC (KOSA 2006) in 2024.
Last season saw the introduction of the KOSA Cup, a knockout tournament, won by Sasi FC (KOSA 2010).
Twaake FC’s Nicholas Luzige was named Player of the Season, Jerome Wamusi, from Mossel Bay FC (KOSA 2015) finished as the top scorer, Firdaus Namulema from Twaake took home the Female Player of the Season award, while Zaki Mulinde was recognized as the Goalkeeper of the Season.
League opening day
The opening day of the season will see the defending champions Twaake FC take on last season’s second best, Mossel Bay FC.

The league will continue at the same venue where matches will take place every other week until February 2026.
