Uganda Cranes suffered a humiliating 3-0 defeat at the hands of Algeria in their CHAN 2024 opener at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole.

Ayoub Ghezala, Meziane Abderrahmane and second-half substitute Soufine Beyazid were on target for the Desert Foxes.
