Co-hosts Tanzania could become the first team to qualify for the knock out stages of the TotalEnergies Africa Nations Championship if they avoid defeat against Madagascar.
The Taifa Stars lead Group B with maximum points from two matches and will surely be favourites against Madagascar who drew goalless with Mauritania in their first game.
Hemed Sulaiman could ring a few changes in the line up after keeping same team for the last two fixtures and that will start in the holding midfield role where Yusuphu Kagoma is suspended for accumulation of bookings.
Fei Toto, Clement Mzize and Suleiman Hamisi remain the key men alongside Nado in attack with Yahya Mudathir running the show in the middle of the pack.
Elsewhere on the day, Mauritania face Central African Republic in a do or die for both sides.
Mauritania are on a point after a draw with Madagascar while CAR lost their opening match 4-2 to Burkina Faso.
Either must win to keep hopes of reaching the knock out phases alive.
The fixtures
- Mauritania vs CAR – 5pm
- Madagascar vs Tanzania – 8pm
