KCB Bank Uganda has officially announced its partnership with the Federation of Motorsport Clubs of Uganda at the launch of the highly anticipated Fort Portal Rally scheduled to take place from 23rd to 24th August 2025.

This announcement was made at the Supremacy Lounge on Makerere Hill Road, marking another chapter in KCB Bank’s deep-rooted support for motorsport in Uganda.

This rally will be the fifth round of the National Rally Championship (NRC), set to ignite the districts of Fort Portal and Kyenjojo.

The competitive stages will cover over 137 kilometers of pure terrain, and the drivers will navigate a series of challenging routes, including the iconic “Duncan’s Bridge” on the Mpanga Stage and the Harugongo stage, which culminates near the Kyakaigo Race Track.

Fans can expect a thrilling double-track super special stage in Kyenjojo town, offering a head-to-head spectacle that promises to be a highlight of the weekend.

KCB Bank Uganda has long been a driving force behind motorsports in the country, with a legacy of empowering both events and individual talent.

This partnership follows their significant investment in previous rallies, including the Pearl of Africa Rally 2025, where they contributed UGX 80 million to the Federation of Motorsport Clubs of Uganda (FMU) and an additional UGX 167 million to support a trio of talented drivers.

The bank has also been a key partner in the Jinja-based Bugerere Stabex EMC Rally, further solidifying its position as a dedicated patron of the sport and in this rally, their drivers George Mukula Junior, Nasser Mutebi and Oscar Ntambi will be participating as well.

Our support to motorsports is a mirror of our brand promise, ‘For People For Better.’ We believe in fueling the dreams of talented Ugandans and connecting with communities in powerful ways. Through our continued support for rallies like this one and the Pearl of Africa Rally, we are championing performance and the purpose of Ugandan motorsport. This year, we are also making it easier for fans to be part of the excitement by urging them to open accounts with KCB Bank at the Fort Portal branch. This year, we embarked on a nationwide tree-planting initiative with an ambitious goal of planting 5,000 trees, and I am proud to share that we have already planted many in various parts of Uganda like at the Lake Victoria Serena Golf Resort and Spa on the greens where we planted 300 trees, the rally tracks at the Bugerere Stabex Rally that saw our KCB rally drivers planting 1000 trees and now we plan on planting 2000 more in Fort Portal city.
