St Cyprian High School Kyabakadde marks a majestic return to the Federation of East Africa Secondary School Association (FEASSA) Games in 2025, three years after they made their debut.

Following a colourful debut for the games held in Arusha city, Tanzania;  St Cyprian High School Kyabakadde missed the subsequent editions in Huye (Rwanda) and Bukedea (Uganda).

At the 22nd edition of the FEASSA Games in Kakamega city, Western Kenya, St Cyprian High School Kyabakadde will be ably represented in Basketball (5×5 and 3X3).

The team of gallant boys was officially flagged by the team leader Joseph Kamya on Monday, 11th August 2025 at the school premises in Kyabakadde.

Kamya wished the team fruitful deliberations as he challenged them to attain silverware.

“I officially flag you off for the 2025 FEASSA Games in Kenya. Go and give your best effort” Kamya spoke.

Team captain Malcom Omondi expressed readiness to lead his charges at the games.

“We have prepared well for the FEASSA Games. We anticipate the very best at the games as we take on the best teams” Omondi remarked.

The team head coach John Omondi is less worried about the opposition as he has prepared his own team to the brim.

“With the high intense preparations we have had, we are ready to face any team. It is good we are back at FEASSA after some while” Omondi, the experienced coach states.

The FEASSA Games will be held between 12th and 22nd August 2025.

Overall defending champions Uganda will be ably represented by a strong delegation in all the games that are to be competed for.

In 3×3 basketball, St Cyprian High School Kyabakadde is in group A alongside Buddo S.S, Sigalame, St Mary’s Yala and Rwanda’s APE Rugunga.

Group B has Amus College School, Nyakasura School, Pioneer Academy, Juhudi and St Joseph’s Kitale.

For basketball (5×5), St Cyprian High School Kyabakadde is pooled in Group B with another Ugandan school Kibuli SS alongside Lukenya Academy (Kenya), Laiser High (Kenya), Juhudi (Tanzania) and Rwanda’s Marie Rine Muhanga.

Group A has Dagoreti High (Kenya), Amus College School, AS Kigali (Rwanda), Seeta High School (A-Level campus) and another Kenyan school, Dr Aggrey Secondary School.

Besides Basketball (5X5 and 3X3), draws were also held for football, netball, Rugby 7’s and 15’s as well as volleyball.

Team Uganda flag off for 2025 FEASSA Games held at Lugogo Hockey Grounds

For Scrabble, chess, tennis, table tennis, badminton, rugby sevens, hockey, beach soccer, beach volleyball, lacrosse and cricket, round robin format will be implemented.

The team Uganda delegation was officially flagged off at the National Council of Sports (NCS) headquarters in Lugogo on Monday morning by the General Secretary, NCS Dr. Bernard Patrick Ogwel.
