Kenya still leads Group A with 7 points and will face the dejected Zambia in their last match on 17th August 2025 at the Moi International Sports Centre, Nairobi. Morocco got their second victory which took them to six points, having suffered a loss to co-hosts Kenya in the previous match.

Morocco subjected Zambia to the third loss in a row at the on-going CHAN 2024 in Group A.
The Atlas Lions recorded a comprehensive 3-1 victory over the Copper Bullets at the Nyayo national stadium, Nairobi on Thursday, 14th August 2025 in Nairobi city.
Mohamed Hrimat, Oussama Lamlioui and Sabir Bougrine scored the three goals for Morocco.
Andrew Phiri got the consolation for the Zambians who are eliminated from the championship with a game left.
This was the second win for Morocco which takes them to six points, having suffered a loss to co-hosts Kenya in the previous match.

Now in the 8th edition, the tournament is being played in Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania and Zanzibar.
This is the first time that three countries are co-hosting the CHAN tournament, a precursor to the AFCON 2027 championship that will also be staged in East Africa.
