Netball continues to be enticing at the ongoing FEASSA Games in Kakamega County, Western Kenya.

All the Netball games are being played at Masinde Muliro University of Science & Technology courts.

Ugandan schools have consistently performed impressively at the games.

In some of the games played on Sunday, St Mary’s Kitende humiliated Kenya’s Kayatiwi 80-12.

St Mary’s Kitende had overcome Hamdan Islamic 42-19 in an all-Ugandan affair on Saturday.

Hamdan Islamic School defeated Tanzanian opposition Bigogwa 64-29.

Buddo SS player aims for the ring

In the contest of two Ugandan schools, Buddo Secondary School edged St Noa Girls Zana 46-43. On Saturday, Buddo had humbled Rwanda’s GS Gahini 84-7 during the one-sided contest.

Other results:

Kenya’s St Joseph defeated Lutozo (Tanzania) 54-27; Bukokholo (Kenya) humbled GS Gahini (Rwanda) 71-24, and Oyugi Ogango (Kenya) overcame Vwawa from Tanzania 59-23.

The group stage matches will continue on Monday, 18th August 2025, with a host of matches.

Netball is among the rich catalogue of sports disciplines at the FEASSA Games.

The others include: Soccer, volleyball, handball, basketball, rugby, hockey, athletics, table tennis, badminton, tennis, swimming, goalball (SNE games), chess, scrabble, beach volleyball, beach soccer, lacrosse, DanceSport and cricket.

Lacrosse, beach volleyball, cricket and DanceSport are all making their debut at the games.

Uganda is the overall defending champion.
