FUFA, through its Football Competitions Department, has revealed the dates and fixtures for the 2025 Super 8 tournament.

The tournament is usually a preserve of the teams that finished in the top eight slots of the previous Uganda Premier League season, serving as a precursor to the new season.

According to the fixtures, the tournament is expected to commence next week on Wednesday, 27th August 2025, with URA FC taking on Kitara FC and KCCA FC playing SC Villa, both games slated to take place at the MTN Omondi Stadium.

The next day will see NEC FC playing Express FC, while holders BUL FC will face Maroons FC. Both games will be played at Nakivubo Stadium.

It should be noted that the first round of the tournament is played on a two-legged basis; therefore, the aforementioned fixtures are for the first round.

The return legs will take place immediately after the international break in September on the 9th and 10th.

The semifinals will be played on a one-leg format, with the winner between KCCA FC and Maroons FC taking on either BUL FC or Maroons. On the other hand, the winner between URA FC and Kitara FC will take on either NEC FC or Express FC.

The losing teams in the quarterfinals will equally face off to determine final positions.

Uganda Premier League Champions, who by virtue of their position should be playing in this tournament, opted out in order to prepare for their CAF Champions League journey, where they will face Namibia’s African Stars in the preliminary round.
