Bukedea Comprehensive School has qualified to the final of Boys’ football at the on-going FEASSA Games in Kakamega county, Western Kenya.
A 1-0 victory over Kenya’s Butere S.S in the first semi-final played at the Bukhungu International Stadium spurred Bukedea Comprehensive School to their first ever final in FEASSA Games.
The decisive moment of the game arrived in the 67th minute when Felix Ochieng diverted Emmanuel Mubiru’s teasing delivery past his own goalkeeper for the all-important strike.
Bukedea Comprehensive School defended in numbers until the final whistle to progress to the finals, their first ever in history.
“I salute the boys (players) and the coaches for the work well done” Ronald Ssali, head coach of Bukedea Comprehensive School stated.
“We still keep our heads down because we still have another match to play which determines our feat” Ssali, who is also part of the technical team for the FIFA World Cup U-17 Uganda team added.

Bukedea Comprehensive School now awaits the winner between Musingu High and St Joseph’s Kitale.
These two schools had their match disrupted by rowdy fans with less than five minutes to play as it was tied at 1-goal apiece.
The organizing committee is yet to pronounce self on the decision to determine who progresses to the final on Friday, 22nd August 2025 at Bukhungu international stadium.
A new football champion will be crowned on Friday evening after the final following the dismissal performance of last year’s champions, Amus College.
With the early elimination of St Mary’s Kitende, Buddo SS and the 2023 winners Amus College, Uganda’s only remaining team at FEASSA 2025 games in boy’s football is Bukedea Comprehensive School.
Meanwhile, the girls’ football final has two Ugandan schools; Kawempe Muslim and St Noa Girls School Zana.
The third place shall witness ArchBishop Njenga against Amus College.
