Fort Portal City will host the 2025 edition of the Boys’ Schools Cricket Week from August 23-31.
The annual Boys’ championship will be hosted in Fort Portal City for the first time after three years in Jinja City.
The annual tournament will feature 18 schools from six different regions, having come through their respective regional Qualifiers.
Defending champions Jinja SS will be eying a third consecutive title and fourth overall. However, they will face strong opposition from record winners Busoga College Mwiri and hosts Nyakasura School.
The annual tournament is used by Uganda Cricket to spot the next generation for the age-grade teams. The best players from the tournament will be put in a high-performance camp to help them improve their skills.
The games will be played at six different venues, that is Nyakasura School (2), Canon Apollo (2) and St Leo’s Kyegobe (2).
The action gets underway on Sunday and will conclude on Saturday next week.
