KCCA co-coach Brian Ssenyondo has expressed his disappointment with his troops after a 2-0 loss to arch rivals SC Villa.

The disappointing display was witnessed in a FUFA Super 8 round one encounter as they lost in the Kampala Derby.

Speaking in a post-match press conference, Ssenyondo conceded that SC Villa was the better side in the game.

“SC Villa were better overall. They mastered the art of counter pressing and hardly allowed us to make a combination of three passes,” the gaffer said.

“They did that throughout the game. We copped at some point in the game but I think they were better at that. I think that is where we lost,” the gaffer added.

Ssenyondo underlined the need to restrategise after the loss he termed a reality check.

“We still have a week or so to correct some mistakes. I believe we shall overturn the result in the second leg. It’s hard to take the result because we failed to play our usual game.”

The two sides will play the return leg at Omondi Stadium on Wednesday, September 10, 2025.
