Several teams will have new home grounds ahead of the new season (2025/26). The development was confirmed on Friday as the fixtures for the first round were released.
SC Villa, who have been hosting their games at Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku, have now shifted to FUFA-Kadiba Stadium in Mengo.
Mbarara City, which for several seasons has had to start the League away from their much treasured Kakyeka Stadium due to failure in meeting the Licensing standards, will once again shift. However, this time, it is not Bombo or Kavumba but rather a new venue, Rwamwanja Stadium in Kamwenge.
The stadium is located in Nkoma Cell, Katalyeba in Kamwenge district and was built with funding from the World Bank under the refugee window through the Uganda Support to Municipal Infrastructure programme USMID.
Police FC, who have been playing in Kavumba, will now have their own home, the Kiira Road Police Arena in Kamwokya.
Newcomers Calvary FC and Entebbe UPCC have been given temporary permission to host games at Midigo Primary School Playground and Bugonga Fisheries Ground, respectively.
Another newcomer in Buhimba Saints FC have been granted permission to use the Royal Park in Butema, Hoima as their home ground.
The 2025/26 Uganda Premier League season is expected to kick off on 26th September 2025.
