Vipers SC fell in a frustrating 4-1 loss against Rayon Sport in a practice game at Kigali’s Pele Stadium on Monday evening.

The match started brightly for Vipers when Moses Waiswa powerfully fired the ball into the net just two minutes in, following a setup from Gusto Mulongo at the edge of the box.

Midway through the first half, Vipers’ goalkeeper Denis Kiggundu made a great save from a powerful, close-range effort.

Ten minutes later, Yves Habimana missed from close range as Vipers struggled to deal with a dangerous delivery into their area.

Rayon Sport found their equaliser through Habimana in the 34th minute with an unavoidable goal that sent the crowd into a celebratory mood.

Just before halftime, Taddeo Lwanga lost possession in front of the Vipers’ goal, allowing Rayon Sport’s Gloire Tambwe to capitalise and give his side the lead.

Rayon Sport extended their lead in the second half when Asman Ndikumana scored with a stunning free kick in the 70th minute.

Iduhaye Ndikumana sealed the victory for the hosts in the 79th minute, putting the icing on the cake and securing all bragging rights.
