The Uganda Cranes head coach, Paul Joseph Put, has made one change from the team that beat Mozambique 4-0 during Group G of the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.

Against Somalia, Put has named English-born Ugandan defender Toby Peter Sibbick at right back.

He is the only change for the comprehensive 4-0 victory over Mozambique three days ago at the Mandela National Stadium.

Sibbick, now at Burton Albion Football Club in the English League One, makes his first start before the enthusiastic home fans.

He is the direct replacement for Elvis Bwomono who completed the last game.

The rest of the ten players on the team maintain their respective slots. Salim Omar Jamal Magoola still stands between the goal posts.

Abdul-Aziz Kayondo is at left back, with the central defensive pairing of John Jordan Obita and Elio Capradossi maintained too.

Kenneth Ssemakula and skipper Khalid Aucho are the defensive midfield shield as talisman Allan Okello links to the forward line.

Pacy Rogers Mato, Jude Ssemugabi and Steven Desse Mukwala form the trinity forward.

Somalia lost 3-0 at the same venue to Guinea during last Friday’s early kick-off.
