BUL FC have on Wednesday confirmed the return of striker Alex ‘Benzima’ Kitata to the club on a two-year deal.

The Eastern Giants revealed that the striker who plied his trade in Ethiopia last season has returned for a second stint.

“Striker Kitata Alex also known as Benzima, rejoins BUL FC . After a stint with Ethiopian side Suhul Shire, where he showcased his goal-scoring prowess, Alex has signed a 2-year contract with the Eastern Giants,” the club confirmed.

Kitata first played for BUL in 2023, joining them Gaddafi FC. He went on to score ten league goals during the 2023/24 campaign.

He comes to bolster the attacking forward, offerings bags of experience given his longevity in the League. He has previously featured for Saints FC, SC Villa, UPDF FC and Kiyovu Sports in Rwanda.

The gangly forward becomes the sixth signing for BUL FC, joining Simon Achidi, Tom Ikara, Lawrence Kambugu, Kevin Tah, Seri Arigumaho and Farouk Yawe.

BUL FC open the new season against URA FC this Friday at home (FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru).
