City Oilers’ guard Fayed Baale believes his team can win game five of the ongoing National Basketball League semifinal playoffs.

City Oilers had a chance to seal the series but were narrowly defeated by Sommet, 86-83, in a fast-paced encounter.

In a post-match presser, Baale urged his teammates to improve ball movement if they hope to surpass the highly motivated Sommet Basketball Club.

“We need to move the ball a little more so that we can create better plays,” Baale noted.

“Basketball is a team sport rather than a two-man team. We need to have everyone at their best so that we put up the much-desired game,” he added.

In game three, City Oilers were trailing during the first three periods before Sommet collapsed in the final quarter. However, Sommet was prepared for a last push in game four.

Baale acknowledges that the players did not put in enough effort, and they need to make a greater commitment going forward.

“I feel we didn’t play well at all because we looked fatigued. Coming into the next game we need to be more aggressive. The other team came out like they need it more than us,” Baale concluded.

City Oilers will face off against Sommet in game five at YMCA Court, Wandegeya on Friday, September 25, 2025.
