Uganda Premier League outfit Police FC has on Friday confirmed experienced midfielder Saidi Kyeyune as their new captain ahead of the 2025/26 season.
Kyeyune who recently joined the Cops on a two-year deal from Express FC will lead the team.
According to the statement released by the club, Kyeyune will be deputised by Samuel Kayongo and Tonny Kiwalazi as first and second assistant captain respectively.
Kyeyune has vast experience having featured for teams like Maroons FC, URA FC, Express FC and also had a short stint with Sudan’s Al-Merrikh.
He is one of the several players coach Matia Lule has signed ahead of the new campaign. Others include Lawrence Tezikya, Benon Tahomera, Charles Bbale among others.
Police FC begin their season at their new home (Kiira Road Police Arena) against Mbarara City FC.
