That Rugby Cranes took home bronze in 2023, and Aaron Ofoyrwoyth bagged the top points scorer accolade, but disaster struck in 2024.
A largely inexperienced “Emerging Cranes” side represented Uganda in the men’s category, but they had a bit more than they could chew. They finished 3 places lower in 6th, but gained invaluable experience that sees four of them return to the side.
While Ugandan club rugby is represented by the National 7s champions, Walukuba Barbarians, the Kanya 7s champions, KCB Rugby, shall have to tussle it out with Uganda.
The Cranes additionally face Nyati and Shogun Rugby on Day 1 and Day 2 of the Safari 7s.
