JKL Lady Dolphins have qualified for the finals of the finals of the 2025 National Basketball League playoffs.

After seeing off UCU Lady Canons, the reigning champions will now lock horns with JT Lady Jaguars in the highly anticipated finals.

Lady Dolphins have secured a hard fought 59-52 victory against UCU Lady Canons in the game five of the NBL Playoffs semifinals at Lugogo Indoor Arena on Wednesday.

Brenda Ekone’s jump shot got the game underway as the Lady Dolphins opened a four-point lead (15-11) at the end of the opening period.

The Lady Canons limited the Lady Dolphins to only eight points in the second period as they took a two-point (25-23) lead in the halftime break.

Coming from the locker rooms, the Canons struggled to beat the Lady Dolphins’ zone thus trailing by two points at end of the third period.

The Canons’ breaks fell off in the final quarter as the Dolphins ran away to secure a seven-point (59-52) victory.

Zainah Lokwameri, Hope Akello and Shadia Nassanga scored 11 points each to lead the Dolphins’ scoring board in double digits.

On the other side, Sylivia Nakituuka (17 points) and Matrina Anyango (10 rebounds) reached the double digits.
