Kyambogo University secured its second victory in as many games played in the ongoing University Football League.
Kyambogo registered a hard-fought 1-0 victory against Busitema in the 2025-26 UFL campaign on Tuesday.
Samuel Owori was on target as Kyambogo University secured maximum points in front of the home crowd on the day.
It was a scrappy game from the first minute and both sides struggled to find rhythm as they preferred to hoof the ball.
Owori finally broke the deadlock in the 41st minute with a header coming off Cleopas Ayebale’s well-taken corner kick.
The visitors tried to return to the game with a late charge but Kyambogo’s backline stood tall and firm to keep a clean sheet.
The victory takes Kyambogo to the Group C summit with six points gathered in two games played thus far.
The tournament continues today as King Ceasor University hosts Uganda Christian University at the Yes Centre Grounds, Nsambya.
