UCU Lady Canons and JKL Lady Dolphins will lock horns in a decisive Game Five of the National Basketball League (NBL) semifinal Playoffs at the Lugogo Indoor Arena on Wednesday.
It’s been an interesting series as both teams have repeatedly swapped momentum.
The winner will advance to face the JT Lady Jaguars in the NBL Finals, after the Jaguars qualified for their maiden final by beating the Magic Stormers.
Speaking ahead of the game, Lady Canons Head Coach Nicholas Natuhereza expressed readiness for the tough challenge.
“It will be a tough game. We are playing a very good and experienced team, but we are ready for the challenge,” the coach stated.
Reflecting on their last victory, he added, “Game Four was a hard game from the beginning because they were leading. We kept composure, confidence, and patience, which helped us win.”
The Mukono-based side has mounted a decent fight, proving to be a formidable opponent.
Their strong defence, presence in the paint, and rebounding prowess have made it difficult for the JKL Lady Dolphins to establish rhythm and utilise their tools fully.
After four highly anticipated games, each side will stage its best plan to push past this final hurdle.
