Janet Mbabazi will lead the Victoria Pearls during the five-match T20i series against Canada.
The North Americans who are on their maiden visit to Uganda will test the Victoria Pearls as they prepare for the Emerging Cup tournament in Thailand next month.
The squad of 14 players has notable names missing; the youngsters Irene Mutonyi and Malisa Ariokot miss out due to their final national exams while Phiona Khulume was also excluded.
Sarah Tino, Teddy Oyella and Jimia Mohammed earn call-ups in their places; all three players have all featured for the Victoria Pearls in a transition from the baby Victoria Pearls to the senior team.
Jima Mohammed has captained the Baby Victoria Pearls, while Sarah Tino made her senior debut at the Kwibuka tournament this year.
Teddy Oyella has always been on the fringes of the team but yet to be fully given a starting role in the side and she was also part of the Kwibuka Squad this year.
Phiona Khulume was the only player not to feature at the T20 World Cup Global Qualifiers in Namibia and ultimately she has missed out with the all-rounder slot going to Naume Amongin.
Amongin had a debut to forget against Tanzania in Namibia but the technical team has kept faith with her.
Sarah Akiteng also had her struggles in Namibia but her left arm can be the difference in games for the side and they have decided to stick with her.

The Victoria Pearls will use the series to prepare for the first edition of the Emerging Cup that will be held in Thailand next month. The top eight associate teams will be battling for honours in this tournament that allows teams to compete against each other outside of their regions.
The Canadians will arrive in Kampala on Saturday, 18th October, before playing their 1st game against the hosts on Monday, 20th October.
