Momentum ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup continues to grow with football fans across the globe showing interest in being part of the football bonanza.

FIFA has confirmed over one million tickets have so far been sold from the Presale Draw arrangement that was made in Mid September.

The aforementioned arrangement saw only VISA card holders get the first chance of getting the tickets. It should be noted that VISA is one of the partners of FIFA at the World Cup.

At the start of sale, fans were be able to secure group-stage tickets from just USD 60, offering an accessible entry point to the tournament, while the most exclusive seats went up to USD 6,730 for the final.

With 28 teams securing their spot at the 2026 FIFA World Cup already, fans from 212 countries and territories of residence have already purchased over one million tickets.

United States of American, Canada and Mexico who are the hosts of the coveted competition next year have registered the highest number of fans who have bought tickets. These are followed by England, Germany, Brazil, Spain, Colombia, Argentina and France in that order of demand.

Gianni Infantino is excited with the response from the fans and believes plans to have a memorable tournament are going according to plan.

“What an exciting step on our journey toward 2026! As national teams across the globe compete for a place at the historic FIFA World Cup 26, I am thrilled so many football-loving fans also want to be part of this watershed event in North America,” said FIFA President Gianni Infantino.

“Today, we celebrate the sale of more than 1 million FIFA World Cup tickets following the Visa Presale Draw. It’s an incredible response, and a wonderful sign that the biggest, most inclusive FIFA World Cup in history is capturing the imagination of supporters everywhere. Already, tickets have been purchased by fans in over 200 countries and territories, led by our enthusiastic hosts in Canada, Mexico and the United States of America.” He added.

After the presale phase, the next ticket sales window will begin on Monday, 27 October 2025 where single-match tickets to all 104 games, along with venue- and team-specific tickets, will be released.

In addition, an official resale platform for eligible ticket holders is already available at FIFA.com/tickets. This initiative is aimed at safeguarding fans against invalid or unauthorised resale and is available to supporters subject to federal and local regulations; Mexican residents will have access to a FIFA Ticket Exchange Platform.
