Nelson Senkatuka opened his scoring account at URA FC on Friday against Express FC at Hamz Stadium.

The striker opened the scores for the Tax Collectors to lead at the break but the Red Eagles managed to level matters and eventually secure a point.

Senkatuka joined URA in August and played for the team in the FUFA Super 8. He actually missed a penalty in the classification game against BUL FC at Kadiba Stadium.

However, the breakthrough for the forward came in his third League game at the club. He did so in remarkable fashion, scoring a stunner in the 17th minute off Norman Namanya’s lay-up.

He nearly doubled the lead three minutes later when he went through on goal but fired wide faced with only goalkeeper Ali Mwirusi.

Express were, however, able to equalize two minutes after the hour mark through substitute Kagawa Ssenoga.

Ssenoga, who had replaced Mikidadi Ssenyonga at the start of the second stanza, was at the end of Richard Basangwa’s tee-up who had made the donkey work to set up the former.

Ssenoga too had a chance to fire Express into the lead in the 67th minute but URA goalkeeper Chrispus Kusiima stood tall to deny him.

Joshua Lubwama equally made a timely interception to deny Express, 14 minutes from time.

URA FC coach Alex Isabirye handed Living Kabon his second debut at the club, replacing Namanya in the 77th minute.

Despite efforts from either side, the scoreline remained the same with URA registering their third draw in as many games and occupying 9th place. Express FC, on the other hand, is in 7th position on 4 points.
