The Angel of death has hit the Uganda Rugby fraternity with the untimely passing of one of the most loyal, diligent, passionate and committed servants of the Rugby game, Ronald Adigas.
Adigas collapsed dead on the morning of 26th October 2025 as he headed to a morning work shift with Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA), where he had been employed since retiring from active rugby action.
Arguably among the best props in the land, Adigas was one of the founding members of Entebbe Mongers Football Club.
He was also instrumental in the start of Rugby at his former school, Entebbe Secondary School and the general Entebbe community.

Adigas’ rugby star shone brightest and was deservedly summoned for Uganda national team service, with the epitome being crowned as African champion in 2007.
Calm and composed off the Rugby ground, Adigas was so aggressive and committed once he stepped foot for action in training and matches proper.
He worked so hard and involved teammates at all times. He expressed loyalty to Entebbe Mongers, turning down lucrative offers tabled from rival rugby clubs as showcased due allegiance to Entebbe Mongers throughout a career that spanned over two decades.

Adigas hails from a typical sporting family where his siblings were also ardent sportsmen as Andrew Asioka, a retired footballer and sprinter.
Burial arrangements and a decent send-off are being planned by the family, friends and Uganda Rugby Union (URU).
Rest in Peace, legend.

A true friend, an ardent rugby lover, a very very hard working gentleman who loved to see that his family doesnt lack. He loved his wife and children so much. i pray God comforts his family and gives him eternal life.
RIP I will live to tell that once we once worked together. Kenneth Makanga former Games master Entebbe Secondary School currently working with Lubiri SS. To me, hit us below the belt as I look forward introducing 7s in my school. Gone too soon man.
