UCU Lady Canons have secured bronze in the 2025 National Basketball League Playoffs.

UCU Lady Canons secured a commanding 69-55 victory against Magic Stomers in the 2025 National Basketball League Playoffs at the Lugogo Indoor Arena on Sunday.

Coming into this game, the Lady Canons fell to the JKL Lady Dolphins while the Magic Stormers lost to the JT Lady Jaguars in the semifinals.

The Lady Canons opened a three-point (18-15) lead at the end of the opening quarter before the Magic Stomers took a two-point (30-28) lead into the halftime break.

Coming from the locker rooms, the Lady Canons limited the Stomers to only 10 points as they took a 16-point lead (56-40) at the end of the third quarter.

Despite the Magic Stormer’s charge in the final quarter, the Lady Canons took home a 14-point victory.

Sarah Namale secured a double double dropping 14 points and pulling down 14 rebounds for the Lady Canons.

On the other hand, Joy Nekesa scored 18 points and made 10 rebounds for the Magic Stomers.
