Kampala University secured a commanding victory to go top of the group.
Kampala University secured a well deserved 4-0 victory against University of Kisubi in the University Football League at Yes Center Arena, Nsambya.
It was a dream start for the hosts who took the lead in the seventh minute as Glibert Wannume connected well with Abbey Mulamba’s delivery.
Six minutes later, Kevin Azabo doubled Kampala University’s lead after being set up by Wannume from the right flank.
University of Kisubi’s backline slightly improved dragging its team into the half time break with a 2-0 deficit.
Five minutes into the sevond half, Robert Ssenfuma was tripped in the area by University of Kisubi’s goalkeeper and the center referee pointed at the spot.
Vincent Mulondo stepped up to the ocassion but missed from the 12-yard mark after placing the ball wide of the target.
On top of the hour, Benjamin Nsubuga taps in Mulamba’s conner kick as the hosts extended their lead to a 3-0 victory.
In the final minute of the game, Brian Miyingo put the icing on the cake as the hosts sealed the much deserved victory.
