Laryea Kingston, head coach of the Uganda Youth teams

Uganda youth head coach Laryea Kingston released a 31-man provisional squad of players to prepare for the 2025 CECAFA U17 AFCON Zonal Qualifiers scheduled to take place from 15th November in Ethiopia.

This provisional team has four goalkeepers, eleven defenders and midfielders a piece as well as five forwards.

The players have been drawn from several junior teams in the FUFA Juniors League, schools and academies.

Kingston will work with a string of former Uganda Cranes internationals as support staff.

Steven Bengo, Ibrahim Saddam Juma and Hamuza Lutalo are all assistant coaches.

Yasin Mugabi is the goalkeeping coach, whilst Joram Katende is the team manager.

Others are: Vincent Tumusiime (coordinator), Patrick Ssenfuka (kits manager), Rashid Kebba (physiotherapist) and Aloysious Byamukama as media officer.

The regional championship will also serve as a qualification route to the 2025 U17 Africa Cup of Nations.
