Kitara put up a brilliant display to dispatch Lugazi as the two teams faced off on Thursday at the Royals Park in Butema, Hoima.
The Royals were ruthlessly taking the visitors to the cleaners with a 4-0 victory.
Striker Patrick Kaddu orchestrated the damage on Lugazi, bagging a brace while midfielders Yunus Sibira and Gaddafi Wahab added a goal apiece to complete the onslaught.
Kaddu fired Kitara as early as the tenth minute when Isaac Amutuhairwe set him up.
The forward doubled his tally and Kitara’s lead at the stroke of halftime, converting from the spot when the hosts were awarded a penalty.
Substitutes Sibira and Gaddafi completed the damage when they came on in the second half with the latter scoring directly from a corner kick.
The win takes Kitara to sixth position on the table with 7 points while Lugazi drop to ninth place on 5 points.
The two teams will return to action next week with Kitara visiting SC Villa on Thursday, 6th November, while Lugazi will be at home to newcomers Buhimba United Saints two days later.
In the other game played on Thursday, BUL were held to a goalless draw by Express FC at FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru.
The result tentatively took BUL top of the table on nine points same as Buhimba United, who host SC Villa on Friday, while Express moved to 8th position with 5 points.
