The StarTimes Uganda Premier League enters match day six starting Wednesday but here is what to look out for in this round.
First home game for Calvary
Calvary must be cursing whoever made their schedule for the season. The newcomers are yet to host a game this season and their fans have not tasted Premier League football in Midigo, Yumbe.
Having played all four matches on the road, the league’s newcomers welcome Entebbe UPPC at home on Friday, desperate to get off the mark.
Having collected just one of twelve possible points, they will be hoping a first top-flight game at home comes with luck for maximum points.
In the Fufa Big League last season, this corresponding fixture ended in a goalless stalemate.
UPDF must keep an eye on Ikamba
Not many expected DR Congo forward Bedia Ikamba to settle into the Premier League easily as he has done so far.
The Police FC striker leads the goal-scoring charts with 4 goals in as many starts and will be the man UPDF must keep in check when they host the Cops at Bombo on Wednesday.
Ikamba has a decent first touch, footwork and his finishing is brilliant as witnessed with all his four goals, including the winner against Maroons where he sent defender Boris Onegi to the floor with a dummy.
If the army side are to get a point or three off Matia Lule’s charges, they must thwart the threat Ikamba possess.
Lugazi, Mbarara City can’t afford another slip-up
Mbarara City is one side alongside Calvary that are yet to win a league game this season and the more this continues, the more likely they are to go down.
The Ankole Lions visit equally desperate Express at Nakivubo and are aware that another slump will leave them in the bottom two and literally send them into an early relegation skirmish.

The same can also be said of Lugazi who have not picked maximum points since day one when they beat Calvary.
Against Buhimba United Saints, Lugazi need redemption and the earlier they start winning games, the better.
Usama has all the focus on him
Each passing season, the rivalry between Vipers and KCCA grows as the two sides fight for dominance on and off the pitch.

Now, with rivalry set to renew on Friday, all eyes will be on Usama Arafat who ditched Lugogo for Kitende in the transfer window.
The Vipers’ newest acquisition could be booed by the away fans but all that will matter is his performance in the red and black of his new bosses.
Ssenkatuka needs to contribute more
Nelson Ssenkatuka is not exactly having a poor season as he has already scored this term but must contribute more if URA are first to overcome Maroons at Luzira and then compete for the elusive fifth title.

His stats are not enough for the player who was signed by the tax collectors to solve the goal-scoring issues after the departure of leading marksman Ivan Ahimbisibwe to KCCA.
And just Ssenkatuka, his predecessor Ahimbisibwe must also have a better contribution at Lugogo than the two goals he has scored so far in five games.
BUL’s invincibility on the line
BUL dropped points against Express in the previous outing but maintained their 2025 unbeaten streak that stretched to 22 league matches.
They visit NEC who earned their first maximum points at Mbarara City over the weekend and James Odoch’s men offer arguably the biggest test to BUL this season.
Can the Jinja-based team overcome the hosts or their unbeaten run in the year comes to end? We wait to see.
