Uganda Premier League side, Mbarara City, has confirmed the sacking of head coach Simon Peter Mugerwa with immediate effect.

The announcement was made today, Tuesday, November 11, via the club’s official social media platforms.

“Mbarara City can confirm that a decision has been taken to relieve Simon Peter Mugerwa of his duties as head coach,” the statement partly reads.

According to the club, not only the head coach but also the other members of the technical team have been relieved of their duties.

In the previous campaign, Mugerwa was sacked by Police Football Club before his services were acquired by Mbarara FC.

After playing six games in the ongoing campaign, Mbarara City has managed to collect only two points, making two draws and suffering four losses.

Mugerwa becomes the third gaffer to part ways with his team, following Hussein Mbalangu and Jimmy Kintu, who left NEC and Calvary, respectively.
