Nigeria kept their 2026 World Cup alive with a 4-0 win over Benin to beat off stiff competition in a group that was topped by South Africa.

Now, they face Gabon, one of the four sides in the play-offs that has never played in a world cup in a clash they must win to reach the final and give themselves chance to play in the Canada, Mexico and United States forthcoming tournament.

On the other hand, Gabon finished behind Cote d’ivoire despite collecting 22 points in 10 group stages qualifying matches.
