Namuwongo Blazers head to the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, for the Road To BAL East Division Elite 16 tournament, which will be held at the Moi International Sports Center in Kasarani from 18th to 23rd November.

The Blazers, fresh from winning the National Basketball League, go into the tournament after shaking up their roster from the zonal qualifiers.

Jovan Mooring, who turned out for South African side Made By Ball last season, joins the Ugandan side for the Elite 16. The point guard has good command of the floor, can make plays and score the basketball.

Senegalese Center, Mohammed Sidy Djitte, bolsters the interior that has James Okello and Anthony Chukwurah.

Jaycson BeReal continues with the Blazers and his scoring ability will be crucial if Namuwongo are to advance. The wing will have to go all out against Nairobi City and the Johannesburg Giants.

Tonny Drileba, who coached the side in Dar, is back on the team roster, having led the side to national glory last week.

Franklin Kaweru is the Editor in Chief of Kawowo Sports. He is an ardent basketball enthusiast.
