Kawempe Muslim edged Amus College 2-1 in the FUFA Women Super League encounter at the Valley Grounds on Saturday.
Agnes Nabukenya had an out standing performance as the Kawempe based side continued to stick on the log summit.
Nabukenya’s effort was deflected into the back of the net as Kawempe Muslim took an early lead in the third minute.
Kawempe Muslim kept pushing but the visitors’ backline stood tall and firm keeping the scoreboard at 1-0 going into the break.
Coming from the break, Amus College threw great numbers upfront asking Kawempe Muslim a number of questions.
Five minutes to full time, Nabukenya doubled Kawempe Muslim’s lead sending the fans into chants and jubilations.
Amus College pulled back one in added time but it was too late for the visitors to pick something positive.
The victory takes Kawempe Muslim to the top of the log with 19 points gathered in seven games while Amus College lie fifth with nine points.
