National Basketball League side Namuwongo Blazers have learnt of their Basketball Africa League (BAL) Elite 16 tournament.
The Blazers will start the tough challenge as they seek a way through the final hurdle of qualifying for the highly anticipated continental showpiece.
Blazers come into the tournament after clinching the 2025 NBL title where they ended City Oilers’ 10-year dominance.
Steven Nyeko’s charges will kick-start their campaign against Kenya’s Nairobi City Thunder on Tuesday, November 17. They will later play South Africa’s Johannesburg Giants.
The top two sides in each of the groups will move to the semifinals while the finalists of the tournament will secure straight tickets to BAL.
The Blazers have added point guard Jovan Mooring, center Mohammed Sidy Djitte and Jaycson BeReal.
