- St. Mary’s stadium, Kitende 8pm
Reigning champions Vipers host Maroons targeting to maintain their perfect start to the season.
The two sides lock horns at St. Mary’s stadium, Kitende under floodlights with six points out six as they play catch up.
With 1-0 wins over Entebbe UPPC and KCCA, they remain the only side with a perfect record so far.
On the other hand, Maroons have had a stop start campaign under new head coach Umar Abdallah Loi who believes the international break has helped the side iron their mistakes.
“We used the international break perfectly to reorganize the squad without any match pressure,” he told the media. “The boys are fresh, focused and carrying positive energy into tomorrow’s game,” he added.
Maroons are just one position above the relegation zone with five points from as many matches with just one victory.
Jacky Ivan Minnaert’s side will come into the game as favourites and will rely on Ugandan internationals Hilary Mukundane, Allan Okello and Rogers Torach, fresh from Morocco with the Uganda Cranes.
Ex-Vipers players Brian Nkuubi and Ivan Asaba will turn guns against former pay masters who could climb into the top half of the standings with maximum points from 11th position.
Last season’s corresponding fixture was decided by Moses Waiswa indirect free kick.
