It was all down to good preparations from the athletes, by the respective federations, good organization from the NOC and the funding by the Government. We are humbled. These games prepare us for future championships as the Commonwealth Games and Olympics,” Dr Donald Rukare, president of Uganda Olympic Committee (UOC) stated.
A total of 57 countries took part in the three-week competition across 23 sports disciplines.
Uganda has taken part in all the editions of the Islamic Solidarity Games played in 2005 (Mecca), Palembang (2013), Baku (2017), Konya (2021, hosted in 2022) and lately Riyadh (2025).
