Following the sacking of Alex Isabirye, URA has confirmed that Edward Golola will be in charge of their game against Buhimba Saints.

Isabirye was sacked alongside his trusted lieutenants Baker Kasule and Crespo Asiku as well as goalkeeping coach Jamil Damba leaving Golola who joined the technical staff later.

“In the interim, Edward Golola will assume the Head Coach role and lead the team into our Match Day 8 fixture against Buhimba Saints on Wednesday, 26th November at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo. The club will announce a new permanent Head Coach and technical team in due course,” the club confirmed in a statement on Tuesday.

The tax collectors will be in search for their second win of the season in the early match of the double header on Wednesday at Hamz stadium, Nakivubo.

Isabirye leaves the four-time champions with only 8 points out of a possible 21 this season with the club 11th on the log.

URA’s last silverware came in 2014 when they beat KCCA at Mbale to win the Uganda Cup and haven’t won a league trophy since 2011.
