Entebbe UPPC secured a well-deserved 2-0 victory against BUL in the Uganda Premier League encounter at FUFA Technical Centre on Thursday evening.

Ambrose Kigozi’s brace was the difference as Entebbe UPPC collected maximum points on the day.

BUL started the game on the right pace as Bakali Mugunda and Karim Ndugwa witnessed their efforts roll narrowly wide of the target under five minutes.

Denis Sewagudde beat his marker and delivered a well weighed delivery but Mugulusi Ibrahim Mugulusi nodded narrowly wide in the 12th minute.

UPPC’s goalkeeper Rogers Omedwa made a fine save to deny Reagan Kalyowa in the 29th minute.

Two minutes into the second stanza, Kigozi fired the visitors ahead after a well-worked move that left BUL’s backline stranded.

Kigozi doubled UPPC’s lead in the 55th minute as the visitors kept growing in stature and rhythm.

Abbey Kikomeko’s position is under threat after BUL suffered back-to-back defeats to Kitara and UPPC.

The victory takes UPPC to the fifth position with 13 points while BUL fall eighth with 10 points after eight games off the campaign.
